This is how we know that we live in Him and He in us: He has given us of His Spirit.
Assurance of continuing closeness to God
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.
A special calling
Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. All who have this hope in Him purify themselves, just as He is pure.
Preparation for greater things and an encouragement to be holy
In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
Caring for others
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
Living with a new purpose
You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You.
Peace for the believer
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.
Seeing things differently
I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in Me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.
Being grafted to Christ to be different
The Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by Him we cry, ‘Abba, Father.’ The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.
Assurance of a new relationship felt inside
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.
Help in our daily life
I have hidden Your word in my heart that I might not sin against You.
