Flame Tests- Colour of flame when put in Bunsen flame NaOH Precipitate- Add NaOH to solution, forms coloured insoluble hydroxide Halide test- Add dilute Nitric Acid then silver nitrate solution (Carbonate ion- Add dilute acid and bubble gas through limewater) (Sulfate ion- Add dilute HCl followed by Barium chloride, gives white precipitate)
